Dear Bernd, HAPPY NEW YEAR! I've spent all morning downloading some of the music you've most graciously shared with us, and listening to most of my favorite masters! Can you believe that I have all of Beethoven's sonatas and 5 piano concertos performed by Claudio Arrou and Artur Schnabell on records! I should put them on a DVD, but haven't had the time as of yet! Come to think of it, I'm not so sure that Schnabel recorded the piano concertos...of course the Emporer is my all time favorite, the adagio is so beautiful. Again, thank you Bernd for sharing this glorious music. Warm regards, Gayle

HAPPY NEW YEAR Thank you. What a nice way and road to the art of the piano to start out the New Year. It is freezing in NYC, so I will be home all this first day of the year. What pleasant company. I await your selection each month. God Bless and here's to another year of your exceptional talents and sharing. Dorcas

It is from one of my pratice tapes from l970. A friend transferred it to a CD and then on to my computer. This is the only selection I have been able to mail. You have played for me for a few years, so now it is my turn. The best to you in the season. Dorcas |

Hi I didn't get around to touching base for October. I was away for over a month taking care of my very ill baby sister. I used to dream about playing the 26th. As far as I got was Sonate Pathetique. I actually have that as a transfer to a CD, made by a friend of mine. i have not had a chance to get to my piano really for over a month, and for my samll ablity, I still missed it. Your rendition is beautiful as usual. Keep up your most inspiring work. I look forward to your next selection all the time. God Bless

| Dear Bernd, Thank-you very much for your wonderful collection of music. I have discovered some beautiful pieces in your collection, listening to them played on my Yamaha DGX-620 digital piano. Using your file to hear what it's supposed to sound like, I have been (slowly) learning Mozart's Sonata IX. I was also inspired to buy the sheet music for Schumann's "Scenes from Childhood" after hearing your recordings - and I'm currently trying to learn them too. Thanks a lot, keep up the good work! | Bernd, I really can appreciate what you have done and are doing. Even though I've played keyboard for many years (I'm 71), I began with MIDI in the mid-80's with my Roland S-10 sampler. I step-recorded the "Flight of the Bumble Bee" and other MIDI files and thats the reason for my above statement. I downloaded your chpn_op23.mid just to get a feel for your "MIDI Tweaking" and I can hear and see what you've done. Here is something I thought you may like to know. I use East West's Platinum Symphony Orchestra & Sonar 5 Power Studio. I loaded some selected string articulations into your piano MIDI files & tweaked them to match the articulations to your various MIDI parameters. The samples provided the good basic string sound & your extensive MIDI tweaking provided the "live" element to the performance. I'm not a trained Classical musician but I have a good ear and the MIDI files sounded very good to me. If you would like a .wav or mp3 file let me know & I'll provide it to you. It's no where near a finished product but will let you hear how your prior efforts can be leveraged with little time & effort. Again, thanks for your willingness to share your work. Michael G. | Thank you for the very exciting "wild hunt" etude. Last year I played "Unstern" (Evil Star) by Liszt for Halloween. I don't know if you have Halloween as a holiday in Germany. It falls on Oct. 31st. This was a most interesting piece, rendered so well. A bit too difficult for me, I dare say. Halloween is a "fun" time for kids. They dress up in wierd costumes but some are pretty constumes. Then they go around knocking on doors saying "Trick O Treat" You can give them a bit of candy. Also a Christian Catholic Holy Day, where one prays to the Saints. Perhaps you know all of this. Keep up your wonderful selections. I love Liszt. Thanks again. |

I listened to all, The Schumann No. 7 and the No. 3 Impromptu - Schubert, simply took my breath away. I studied the "Butterfly" - Grieg, as I imagine many did during their course of study. Delightful. How many rednitions of a butterly are there? I came across a duet in Vivaldi for piano/flute and in my Celtic flute book another "Butterfly" and heard a wonder duet by Chinese master for Piano and Flute entitled "Butterfly Lovers." The artists were wonderful. I am wondering if the No. 1 Schubertis difficult, as it is charming. A wonderful selection. I didn't get around to hearing them until now as I was on vacation for a few days. Keep up your good work, your audience loves it all, believe me. We are also educated in more and more piano literature through your efforts. Thank you. God Bless, as ever........ I remain one of your faithful listeners.

Very nice work ;-). For the MIDI part, I have thought about such a thing also, but, as you say, it is really a lot of work, and I prefer not to give my whole time to it. How can you say you are a layman in terms of music? That's a joke, right ;-)? In the morning, when I prepare for coffee, I often listen to classical music, including your's. And I listen to very famous popular musicians, much more popular than you are. But I must say that I like your interpretations/play most; I think that is because you don't tend to "overinterprete" compositions, but rather leave them as they were written originally (in notes). Don't get me wrong, I think (of course) you also interprete the compositions, but for my taste in a very cool and direct approach. I simply like it. So thank you for sharing your impression of music. And always remember: when I want to listen to, say Chopin - YOU are my first reference.

Alles Gute! Bernd K.

My Dear Mr. Krueger, As I've been reviewing the wonderful masterworks of your collections that you have shared with me, I've often wondered why you're not on the "Concert Stage?" You have portrayed the "Masters'" beautifully! Thank you for sharing yet another Liszt masterpiece. I look forward to many more, perhaps a Hungarian Rhapsody? They're so wonderful. Thank you for the MP3 formats also. Warm Regards, Gayle

I really like your classic piano midi music. I use SynthFont to load Steinway 136mb soundfont to play back the midi files. The result is amazing. It is as if I am standing right beside the classic Grand Piano, that realistic feel. I can see how much painstaking work you have put in all the midi files. I am a computer software developer and have some basic understanding of midi format and the process to produce midi music. Thank you very much for making these master pieces available over the Internet. Happy New Year to you and all the classic music lovers. Yiwei
